Network of the Homes of the Founding Fathers

On 18 December 2009, leaders from the Stiftung Bundeskanzler-Adenauer-Haus(Germany), the Fondazione Trentina Alcide De Gasperi (Italy), the Jean Monnet Association, and the Maison de Robert Schuman (France) came together in Trente, Italy. From this meeting came the will to create a program consolidating the efforts of four organizations in the dispersion of the Founding Fathers’ works and thoughts. These great men allowed us to create a unified and peaceful Europe that respects human rights.
It is in this setting that four structures were chosen to create a common identity and come together under the name “Homes of the Founding Fathers of Europe Network.”
The aim of the Network is:

- to have different audiences be exposed to the homes from where the Founding Fathers came and where they formed the history of Europe

- to organize informative events and raise awareness for the themes tied to the memory of the Founding Fathers and the European Union, its construction, current state, and future, open to the public

- to create publications on the theme of Unified Europe and the Founding Fathers

- to take advantage of the new forms of communication offered by the internet in order to spread the work of the builders of Europe on an international scale
