Press Conference on the Founding Fathers' Houses Network Our association today marks an important step in its development and, thanks to the rapprochement of Stiftung-Bundeskanzler-Konrad-Adenauer-Haus, Fondazione Trentina Alcide De Gasperi and Home of Robert Schuman, site of the General Council of Moselle, all of the administrators of the home-museums of the Founding Fathers, strengthens its initiative in favor of European education and the promotion of the memory of Jean Monnet outside of the borders of the “Hexagon”. On 5 May 2010, the Homes of the Founding Fathers of Europe Network press conference took place in the offices of the Economic and Social Committee in Brussels. The leadership of the four house-museums that make up the network (Stiftung-Bundeskanzler-Adenauer-Haus, Fondazione Trentina Alcide De Gasperi, Jean Monnet Association and the Maison de Robert Schuman, General Council of Moselle) reaffirmed their engagement for the promotion of the work of the Founding Fathers of Europe and announced their new project: political tourism. The meeting was held in the presence of members of European institutions, representatives of regions in Europe, and journalists. At the conference were Antonio Tajani, Vice President of the European Commission, Günther Oettinger, member of the Commission, Irini Pari, Vice President of European Economic and Social Committee, Konrad Adenauer, grandson of the German Chancellor, and leaders from the house-museums.
